lyn combines aesthetics with an incredible wearing comfort and a high standard of quality which is ultra easy to maintain.
After the birth of my first son, my desire was to still dress beautifully and especially comfortable.
I wanted clothes which are easy to care for and durable.
So clothes that fit well in business meetings and on the playground at the same time. 😉
As a trained dressmaker and after a design study in Paris, I have then decided to create and produce clothes myself. So the brand lyn was born.
“ly” stands for my first name Lydia and the “n” for my family name Niederberger.
The collections are created in a small studio in the heart of Switzerland in Nidwalden and is produced exclusively in Europe.
I am careful to choose the shortest path between the yarn and the production of the garment. Whenever possible, I use recycled materials, in ordre to respect and value our environment in every garment produced.
To avoid overproduction, I also rely on a 2-month pre-order period so to produce rather less, than more. It generates of course higher production costs and a smaller margin, but it is perfectly in line with my values and those of lyn.
